Affordable Christmas Stocking Fillers or Gifts For Yourself + GIVEAWAY

I can’t be the only person that goes Christmas gift shopping for friends and family but ends up walking out with more for myself?  Seriously, am I alone in this & secretly a horrible human?  Well even if you can’t relate now, if you win this giveaway you’ll want to buy all the products I’m going to talk about, for yourself!

Clicks is currently running their Christmas Beauty Fair, including some pretty awesome offers, which end on 24 December.  They have 3 for 2 specials on some of my favorite beauty brands and loads of brands also have a percentage off the original price.  This includes electronics, beauty, food, etc.  So if you’re still on the hunt for your stocking fillers or even larger Christmas gifts check out the Clicks site and get your items delivered to your nearest Clicks store – skip the queues and save yourself from a breakdown!

These are a few currently beauty favorites that I’ve had on rotation for a while or I’ve just ordered them from Clicks.  All of the below would make for some great stocking fillers for friends or family or you could get some of these products for yourself – you know you want to! 😉

    Clicks Beauty Fair, Clicks Christmas,

BROW PENCIL & GEL / MASCARA:

I’ve been using the NYX Micro Brow pencil (R152.95) for over a year now and although I do test out other brow pencils I just seem to come back to this one!  I’m currently using the shade Brunette, which is way to warm for me, I much prefer the ash brown shade because it’s more cool toned and doesn’t ever look over the top.  If you have a friend that doesn’t do their brows, give them this!  Plus they have quite a few shades and it’s really inexpensive!

The Essence Make Me Brow in Browny Brows (R54.95) has been spoken about way too much over here and on my channel so if you’re new just type it into the search and you’ll see my love for this product.  It’s essentially a tinted bow gel with a SUPER tiny mascara wand that helps to bulk up and set your brows.  Also it’s under R60, so if you’re on a budget this is the product to add to a stocking!

I swear by the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara  (R159.95) which is probably my favorite mascara at Clicks!  You get length, volume, it holds a curl and doesn’t transfer.  Somehow it can get better than that, with the Lash Sensational Primer mascara, when I got this I thought, “what can this really do?”.  I also thought it was an unnecessary step but now I don’t do mascara without applying this first!  It’s wonderful, trust me!

    Clicks Beauty Fair, Clicks Christmas,

CC CREAM / FOUNDATION / ILLUMINATOR / BRONZER:

The Body Shop InstaGlow in Warm Glow (R195.00) is new product for me, as in I just got it today!  But I think it could be a great dupe for a high-end liquid bronzer that I rave about (any guesses?).  It says that it’s a CC Cream but I plan on adding this to my tinted moisturizer for summer, just to get an overall bronzey glow – think J-Lo!  I’m really excited but I’ll be sure to keep you posted on this one!

Another product from The Body Shop is the Drops of Glow (R280.00) which I add to my tinted moisturizer to get a little bit more movement and to add some extra glow (you know how I love that glow!).  It can be mixed in with any foundation or used as a liquid highlighter over the top of your makeup.  This will be a great stocking filler for a mom, who’s skin is aging but she’s set on a specific foundation that doesn’t do her any favours in the trickle department.  Pop this in her stocking, show her how to use it and she’ll be hooked!

The Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream in Light Beige (R209.95) has been around for a while but is a bit of a killer to track down, so be warned!  They also have a really tiny shade range (literally only 4 shade) so this won’t be for everyone but it’s so beautiful!  It gives the skin the most beautiful natural radiance while still providing a light-medium coverage.  It’s the perfect Summer product!

It actually shocked that I liked this foundation because I really didn’t have high hopes but I’ve since had to eat my pessimistic words because it’s amazing!  The Almay Age Essentials Foundation in Light Warm (R310.00) is a great step up from a tinted moisturizer/cc cream, because it gives a bit more coverage and still looks natural on the skin.  I’ve done a first impressions video on this, check it out here.

    Clicks Beauty Fair, Clicks Christmas,

    CONCEALER:

I’ve exclusively been using this Revlon Youth Fix Concealer in Light Medium (R159.00) for the last 3 months and I absolutely love it! It’s light reflecting and does a pretty goof job of covering up my dark circles without looking cakey.  The product is dispersed from the sponge tip applicator, which I dab underneath my eye and blend with my ring finger.  It blends easily and plays nicely with other products.

    MAKEUP BRUSHES:

I can’t rave enough about Real Techniques brushes (from R85), I’ll choose these over my more expensive  brush every single day.  All of their brushes are cruelty free, baby-skin soft, affordable and they have a great range.  Their Miracle Complexion Sponge rivals anything else it’s price range and they’re durable!  Do yourself a favour and get yourself or someone else a set of these brushes!

    Clicks Beauty Fair, Clicks Christmas,

    SERUM / SETTING SPRAY:

This Vichy Mineral 89 Daily Booster Serum is the PERFECT serum (R350.00) for Summer!  The light-weight water based serum sinks in within seconds and makes your skin look and feel plump.  It also provides enough hydration for the hot summer days, I don’t feel like my skin is shrinking like a prune when I wear this!  A great gift for someone that doesn’t have a set skincare routine yet but they need it.  Be nice, help them out!

I’ve spoken about Avene (from R120.00) at length in previous blog posts and videos so I rave about it again, but it’s legit!  I’d be super happy if I had Avene products in my stocking at Christmas!

The NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray (R164.95) really doesn’t get enough air-time on my blog but it’s the setting spray I use on the days that I wear makeup.  In fact, this is already my second bottle in the list 3 months, so that’s enough testament!  Ps, for the oily ladies, they have a matte version too!

    LIPS:

Again, I’ve worn and spoken about this enough to not say anything now but this is gorge!! The NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm (R124.95) is the perfect coral-ish nude for my skin tone and so many of you have told me that you’ve bought it and love it too! This isn’t a super drying matte lipstick, it feels really comfortable on the lips – you could wear it all day and not even notice.
