EAU THERMALE AVÈNE SPRING MIST

If you’re a long time follower of the blog you’ll already have heard plenty about Avene and my love of the Thermal Spring Mist!  This mist has been a firm favourite in my routine for many years and with good reason, I am never without it!  So when Avene asked if I’d like to partner with them to talk about the mist it was a no brainer for me because I’ve loved it for many years!

Although I predominantly use it in my daily skincare routine it has a plethora of uses that I’ve never touched on so I thought I’d share a few with you.

IRRITATED, ITCHY SKIN

As a baby I suffered with eczema all over my body, I know, what a beautiful baby!  For the most part I grew out of it but I still had it on my arms and I clearly remember scratching my skin until it was inflamed, red and bleeding! The Thermal Spring Mist is the product I wish was around back then!  Luckily nowadays when my eczema flares up (from stress) I spray the Thermal Mist on my arms which immediately cools and soothes the irritated area.  Honestly it’s been such a relief for me!  If you suffer with eczema try this and tell me how it works out for you!

I’m not a mom yet but if you are and you have babies give this a try on inflamed red nappie rash!  It also works as a soothing and calming mist on inflamed surface area wounds. My nephew has extremely sensitive skin, and poor kid, also has eczema so I’ve told my sister to try this on him and report back.

FACIAL MIST

As I said, I’m never without this mist in my daily skincare routine – it’s great post morning cleanse because it’s super refreshing and takes down any redness before makeup application. Also if you prefer to gym in the morning before work, this will really help with the red cheeks or in my case, complete tomato face!  I also love using this as a hydrating mist to set my makeup because I have dry skin so I need all the moisture I can get!  During Summer this mist has gone everywhere with me and has been an absolute essential for hot beach/pool days!

If you’ve seen my travel vlogs you’ll know that I took the mini with me as my inflight mist and I used it throughout the flight to keep my skin hydrated & happy!  And because I went to America in winter I kept the mini in my handbag & used it whenever my skin felt tight or dry. It’s also great post aesthetic procedure like micro needling or chemical peels and I keep a bottle of this on my desk because the aircon really dries out my skin!

SUNBURN

I’m such a huge advocate for wearing and consistently applying SPF50+ on the daily and I very seldom get sunburnt but let’s be real, it happens to everyone!  On Sean’s birthday last year we had a chilled pool day with friends & I clearly didn’t reapply sunscreen often enough so we were all left with hectic sunburn!  Honestly the first product that came to mind was this mist and I sprayed it on our sunburnt areas which was an immediate aid to that overwhelmingly hot feeling!  I then liberally applied aloe products and kept misting when I felt hot. This was such a hero product for me!

Even if this post wasn’t a sponsored one I would still be this adamant that the Thermal Spring Mist needs to be in your shopping cart next time you’re in Clicks/Dis-chem!  They have three sizes – a 50ml travel size (perfect for your handbag), 150ml for your car or on your desk at work and 300ml for at home! Prices range from R79,95 – R229,95 so this definitely won’t break the bank!

If you love this mist let me know how you use it in the comments 🙂
