Max Factor Excess Shimmer review

Your immediate thought when you heard the name of this product may be “I’m not sure if I want EXCESS shimmer”.  Let me  assure you though the colour and texture is beautiful, so don’t be put off by the name.

The Max Factor Excess Shimmer eyeshadow in the shade Bronze is a super deep, rusty-red, bronze (as the name suggests) which really compliments lighter eyes like mine.  It would also look great on darker skin shades & eye colours.

Don’t expect this Max Factor shadow to be like the Maybelline Colour tattoo’s because the consistency is different as well as the pigment.  These tend to have a more moose texture, so quite a bit more blendable I find.  They are also highly pigmented which is great – you will definitely get the shade that you see in the pot.

The best part about these Max Factor shadows is that they are super blendable so you can sheer them out quite a bit & likewise you can build up the colour with less blending.  Also great as a base shadow if you are wanting your makeup to last all day/night.

You can buy these at Clicks, Dischem, Spree
