I am very happy to say that I didn’t spend any money for this haul, everything was purchased with gift vouchers that I have been hoarding like a crazy since my birthday in October. I had the vouchers for a little over three months before I could decide what to buy. Do you ever have days/weeks where you can’t seem to decide on anything? So shopping is just not on the cards for the sheer reason the you don’t want to stand in front of a beauty counter/clothing rail for 20 minutes deciding if you should buy that item. It looks crazy, and you can only have so many shop assistants ask if you need help before you just walk out empty handed. Just me?
Well enough rambling, let’s get down to business. I popped into Sorbet to take a look at their new skincare range and ask the beauticians what they thought was best. And ended up picking the Salon Skin Even Tone Corrector, which can be used morning and night as a serum. I have been wanting to try the Sorbet Skincare range and needed a new serum, so here it is. I have also never tried their nail polish so I bought a very easy colour, it’s called Ink me Pink.
Next up I’ve been eyeing the L’Oréal Miss Manga mascara since I saw it on I Covet Thee Blog, and did you know Edgars stocks some drugstore makeup brands? I didn’t! But was happily surprised and walked out with a new mascara to test out.
This one wasn’t bought with a voucher but instead a Back to Mac, which is when you take back six empty MAC containers and get a free lipstick. I opted for a more Autumnal colour since we are edging closer and closer to Autumn. You can see it in the picture, it’s beautiful and it’s called Diva.
I received this in my February Rubybox and thought it was worth mentioning, as an alternative to Bio Oil which is now all kinds of expensive. It can be used for scaring, stretch marks and dry skin, hair & nails. It also has a load of natural ingredients, recently that has been something that I look for in products, I don’t know why.
Lastly, the beauty of tie-dyed blue & white goodness you see in the background, that’s my new scarf from Cotton On. You can buy it for R50 with any other purchase. HELLO!!! My main purchase was a great pair of light-washed slightly ripped boyfriend jeans, that actually sit on my waist unlike my last pair. I got those on sale for R250, but had a voucher for it, YAY!
