These Lush Products, among others are the joys of birthdays, an overflow of lovely beauty/skin care products.  Who wouldn’t love that?  Am I alone in this, or is this something all beauty lovers/bloggers love about birthdays?

If you don’t already know this, I am the ultimate list-maker, so of course I make birthday lists and hand them to my sister who then tells people what to buy me.  It may sound crap because I don’t have any surprises or don’t allow people to pick out their own gifts for me but hear this, I pretty much only get things that I really want.  I put a lot of thought and research into these things so people know that I will love what they give me.  How could this be bad?

Well having gotten some of the items on my list I can give you a good review.

LUSH Rub Rub Rub: This is right up my alley, it is citrus scented, has some lemon juice and some floral – all the things I love, rolled into one product.  Hence my love-at-first-whiff, it has just the right hints of these scents and reminds me of a beach front foot scrub.  My problem areas are my legs, probably from shaving and lack of exfoliation, combined with horribly dry skin passed down from my dad – let’s just say it’s not a fun combination.  So I’ve just been exfoliating with one of those coarse glove things and it’s been working well.  Using this scrub before i jump in the shower and then using the glove has proven to be the winning combination.  So if you have this sort of issue try this product in conjunction with a coarse shower glove.  Also, if you need a more gentle scrub, you can use this product in the shower.  R148 at Lush

LUSH Mask of Magnaminty: This is an interesting first for me.  I’ve never really been a mask person, mostly because I don’t like the feeling it has when it’s dry.  Most masks feel extremely tight, almost as if I’ve had a few trips to the Botox doctor, which I’m usually not keen for.  And don’t get me wrong I feel that when this mask dries but I don’t mind because I’ll do it for the skin that follows.  The thing I love most about this is that if I get that itch to pick at my face or squeeze an unwelcome visitor, I just apply a layer of this to my face and it dries out the spot but weirdly does not dry out my face.  That’s a huge win in my book!  R115-R215 at Lush

LUSH Karma Bubble Bar: It’s coming up again and it will keep coming up, this is another citrus one!  Damnit I love citrus scented beauty products.  This bubble bath ball is like none other, it’s pretty and smells like a Saturday morning at Babylonstoren – you can’t go wrong with that!  As the name states, it’s a bubble ball, so it fizzes under running water and creates orange water (weird but cool) and bubbles.  The whole bathroom was enveloped in the citrus smell.  Great for Sunday/Monday pamper nights.  Also the minty smell makes me happy, it’s so refreshing.  R38,50 at Lush

Please let me know if you try any of these products and let me know if there are any you think I should try out.
