I thought I’d start a new series called ‘Anti-aging in your twenties’ mostly because that’s the season I’m in right now and I know a lot of you are too. If you’re in your thirties or forties this is also for you and you’d actually see more of a visible result with using anti-aging products long-term.

SISLEY HYDRA-GLOBAL INTENSE ANTI-AGING HYDRATION SERUM
This is a deeply hydrating hyaluronic acid based day serum with a light texture that leaves your skin glowing and plump. These are all the effects you want from a serum when you’re focusing on anti-aging and especially if you’re 35+ you want to boost hydration levels in your skin. From the age of 25 your elastin and collagen production slows down so that’s why you’ll often see the signs of aging like dull skin & fine lines appearing. I used this daily for about four months and I could definitely see the difference in my skin when it ran out. While using the Hydra-Global serum my skin overall was more plump, hydrated, radiant and generally happy!

This is a new innovation in anti-aging for Sisley and they’ve found a way to target behavioral ageing (lifestyle related like smoking, pollution, stress, health & wellbeing). Although this is more targeted towards women in their late thirties/early forties, as they’ll see a more immediate result in firmness and texture of the skin. I’ve been using this serum every night for about a 1.5 months and I genuinely love my evening skincare routine! It has a beautiful gel cream formula that glides over your skin and feels absolutely beautiful! The morning after applying this my skin feels silky smooth, plump and hydrated.
SISLEY VELVET NOURISHING CREAM
If you’ve experienced tightness, redness, dull skin, you might be in the dry skin camp with me and this is the product for you! This is specifically formulated for those with dry skin, so if you have a lack of lipids and water your skin barrier function could be impaired which leaves your skin extremely sensitive. Amongst the seven active ingredients there are two key ingredients in the Velvet Nourishing Cream – Pro-Vitamin B5 (super hydrating) & Saffron Flower Extract (soothing).
It doesn’t have SPF it can be used day or night, although I prefer to use it at night because I want the full benefits of the active ingredients as my skin regenerates overnight. Honestly this is such a beautifully formulated nourishing cream for dry skin and I can’t recommend it enough!
