This here lipstick has been my go-to ‘get excited for summer’ lipstick. And believe me I am not a fan of summer so it takes a lot to amp me up. Initially I bought this because I saw Jules from All Dolled Up talk about it and Tori from Kiss, Blush & Tell Instagramed a picture, and I trust their opinions, so it was a no-brainer.
Let me start this by saying I already have a few different red’s and my love will always be with MAC Ruby Woo, in fact it still firmly hold’s first place but this is creeping in there. By this I mean the Loréal Colour Riche, Pure Reds Matte Collection in Julianne. For this collection they created the perfect red lipstick for each of their spokes models. Hence the names.
So if you’re still on the lookout for your perfect red, there’s a good chance you’ll find it in this collection. Do a little bit of research into their spokes models and see which skin tone best suits yours and then get yourself down to a Clicks/Dischem. All of the lipsticks in this collection are matte, but more of a wearable satin matte.
I picked up Julianne because it seemed like the perfect bright cherry red lipstick and with the matte formula I don’t have to struggle with it slipping everywhere during the day. I’m not keen on the ‘umm, you have lipstick on your tooth’ comment.
