To kick off a month of Drugstore related content I’ve got an Essence Makeup Haul for you guys. I didn’t buy too much but let me tell you, even though these are affordable products I spent upwards of R700 on these products and few others you’ll be seeing soon. The best thing is I did’t spend R700 on one product alone (much to LéFiancés relief I’m sure).
I spent a happy 1.5 hours browsing through Clicks & Dischem, just swatching and playing with makeup. That’s one thing I love about the drugstore – I can browse uninterrupted and without a shop assistant giving me the stink-eye for swatching a handful of eyeshadows/brushes.
Well lets get into this little haul then. Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the video to see a list of products I mention in this video as well as a sneak on next weeks video.
PRODUCTS MENTIONED:
- Essence Pure Nude Makeup Foundation – 20 Pure Sand
- Essence Get Picture Ready Brightening Concealer – 20 Nude
- Essence Eyeshadow & Primer – Nude Beige
- Essence The Velvets Eyeshadow – Mr Mocha Bean
- Essence The Metals Eyeshadow – Ballerina Glam
- Essence Silky Touch Blush – Indian Summer
- Essence Brow Designer – Brunette (R29.95)
- Essence Sun Club Matte Bronzer – Light (74.95)
- Essence Rock ‘n Doll Volume Mascara (R54.95)
In next weeks video I do a quick makeup tutorial using only Essence products, so remember to be back for that!
Also let me know if you guys have used any of these products or which you’d like to try.

“shop assistant giving me the stink-eye’. Lol. I’ve certainly encountered those kinds of shop assistants! Looking forward to the video tutorial using these products.
YAY! I looove Essence, especially when I heard they are one of the few brands that do not test on animals 🙂 I have been meaning to buy some of their newer products but I was uncertain which to try, thanks for this tip! Looking forward to your tutorial video!
