This last month I did a little (read: expensive) Clicks shop and much to my excitement they were having a beauty sale (3 for 2) on many of the skincare brands, makeup and well the entire store. Obviously that meant it was time to stock up on some much-needed skincare products that have been on my lust list for too long. Introducing Eu Thermale Avéne, a french skincare brand that launched in South Africa earlier this year.
Avéne is a drugstore skincare brand that was created specifically for people with sensitive skin and the main ingredient is from a (unpronounceable name) spring in France. I can’t say much about the products in the above picture because I’ve only had them for two weeks and don’t went to jump the gun, but so far I’m loving them. The first product I bought was their Cold Hand Cream, which I’m currently squeezing every last bit from the tube – can you tell if I love it? I’ve also been using the Thermal Spring Water Spray (mentioned in August favourites) and I absolutely love it, but more on that in a proper Avéne review blog post coming soon.
This is just a heads up to those of you that have sensitive, easily agitated skin, or redness, you should give these products a try. They have a wide range of products for different skin types which is pretty hard to come by at the drugstore (Clicks/Dischem). Another positive, and this may be completely insignificant to some of you, the packaging is lovely, simple branding, and looks good on the bedside table.
