This is a bit of an odd post for me because I’ve never confessed to give good fashion advice because to be honest it’s not my area of expertise because well that’s beauty but why not dabble in the fashion world. It’s fun and a little bit of something different.
Gingham is a print I never thought I’d wear because it reminds me of my high school uniform – basically a table cloth. But recently I’ve seen so many people pull it off wonderfully so I thought I’d give it a try. I’ve seen people do gingham on gingham which I love but I’m not bold enough for that so I styled my gingham print shirt (Zara) with simple black jeans (Pick’nPay), a leather jacket (Cotton On) and faux Gucci slide loafers (Rubi – Cotton On).
Gingham print became quite big in the UK during their Spring/Summer and now I’ve seen in slowly creep into South African stores like Zara and H&M. We haven’t quite seen the gingham trend hit our shores in full force but I think it’s coming!
