Bare Naturals is a brand I happened upon last year when I was in Durban, and it was the loveliest find. I met Sarah at the I Heart Market and we chatted about skincare and she told me a bit about her products, and I had a little sniff & test of a few things. Naturally after smelling her products I was hooked – because we all know I can’t refuse anything citrus scented.
You may have seen a few of these products in videos (here & here) or in a blog post. Before I get into each product, I want to highlight a few things I love about the packaging (we all know this is a big selling point for me). The clean minimal branding makes me happy to proudly display these in a bathroom cabinet or skincare shelf. These are definitely not the products you shove to the back of the cupboard – they’er just too good not to show off. Is it just me that has a serious love for brown glass bottles and white labels?
Castile Facial Cleanser (R180) – reasons to love this: tea tree & lemon, need I say more? This works beautifully as a morning cleanse because it makes my face feel refreshed but not striped. It has an almost gel texture, which means it doesn’t foam up which is alot better than a foaming cleanser – in my opinion.
Energise Bath & body Massage Oil (R100) – I still have not used this, though I really would like to, i just keep forgetting. I will say though that this smells A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Will definitely report back when i’ve used it.
Blemish Clearing Serum (R75) – Obviously I was intrigued by this because any one product that claims to clear spots is something I’m willing to try. Let me just say – yes, I don’t have bad skin or anything close to acne but I do get the occasional blemish or blind pimple (gross) and I’m a picker. I’m a pusher Cady, I’m a pusher (100 points if you got that reference). Because I pick and fiddle with blemishes, something small turns into a huge inflamed bruise looking thing on my face so I need this. Guys, it works! It takes down the inflammation and redness & also dries out the blemish. I use this at night after cleansing my face, just put a little bit of this on your finger and dot it onto the blemish. Try it and thank me later.
Rescue Facial Serum (R210) – this has had it’s share of rave reviews. I spoke about this in my bedside table blog post and in my October favourites video. Just as a quick recap, this has a natural citrus scent and it really does work. When I feel like I’m having a bad skin day I lather this on my face, morning or evening and the next day it looks ten times better.
To wrap this up, I love this brand and I’m so happy to be sharing their products with you. All the products are organic, natural, cruelty free and vegan – yay! Another huge positive, they’re actually affordable! So the age-old gripe that locally produced products are too expensive can now be thrown out. Seriously, you need to get your hands on these products!

I have tried many rangers of Skincarw over the years and have honestly not found anything to match the BARE NATURALS range..I love that it’s made locally and all natural ingredients. The essential oils that are used smell heavenly.
