Makeup is to me what shoes/heels are to other women – I do need all the different options! I say this because you may have been reading LéBlog for a little while now and you’re constantly see new things added to the ‘new in’ pile. It’s partly for me and partly for you – I want to review different brands so you have an idea of what’s good and what just doesn’t cut it. All that to say, I bought a new Stila eyeshadow palette…
Allow me to introduce the Stila Eyes are the Window Mind Palette, all matte, all beautiful. I’ve had my eye on this since I bought my first Stila palette (more here) in February this year. Most eyeshadow palettes are dominated by shimmer shadows which often means you’re only left with 2 or 3 matte shades… if you’re lucky. And although I love a good metallic gold shadow, sometimes the plain jane in me emerges and all I want is a neutral matte shade.
I have plenty of matte eyeshadows from MAC but I do enjoy the ease of having everything I need in one handy little palette. It’s got some neutral shades for a quick everyday look, warm and cool tones, and a good mixture of lighter and darker shades. I can pretty much use all the shades in this palette, with the exception of the pale pink, haven’t used that yet.
The colour that made me hand over my card was Perception (bottom middle) the burnt orange shade. It made me want to immediately go home and start playing around with a few makeup looks. That’s when you know it’s good!
Ps, Christmas is around the corner and this could make for a great stocking filler.
What are your thoughts, would you lean more toward the matte or shimmer eyeshadow palettes?
