LIFE UPDATE

Life has changed quite a bit over the last two months and I thought it was about time to catch you up.  If you’re following me on Instagram you’ll probably know most of these things but I’ll share more here.

This will be a chatty one but well worth it so I suggest you get a cup of tea/coffee and settle in.

LIFE: Probably the biggest update is that I’ve gotten married (!!).  I haven’t shared too much about this because we’ve only just stepped out of our honeymoon bubble.  In fact this is our first week back at work.  I’ll be sharing more details about the wedding on here because I know a few of you have been dying to see more of the wedding and details leading up to it.  The main thing is that the day was absolutely beautiful, I can truly say it was everything I wanted and I married my best friend.   Comment down below if you’re excited to see wedding content.

HOME:  We’re staying in my current flat (the one I’ve lived in for about 3 years).  I haven’t spoken much about my flat even though I had all the plans to do decor and interiors posts when I first moved in but life has been busy!  I’ll spare you the shpeel about not having time to blog.  What I really wanted to say is that it’s getting there.  We spent some time during our honeymoon getting things sorted (painting, sanding, chucking out and cleaning) and settling in to make this place our own.  I’m wanting to share some of the small changes that have made the biggest differences.  Because this is an old flat, the rooms and living spaces are larger but the bathroom and kitchen are more dated.  More on that in future posts.

WORK:  This is something I haven’t been vocal about on Social Media because all the questions are sometimes annoying when you can’t say what you really want to.  But onto the fun part, I’m officially my own boss, I work for myself!  I repeated that more for my own sake than yours.  I’m currently writing this post from my desk, in my home office.  HOME OFFICE! What is this life?! This means I can focus on my blogging, YouTube videos and freelance makeup.  Along with freelance life comes the pressure of making money so if you know anyone looking for a makeup artist give them my details.  This also means there will be load more content on all my platforms.  I’m aiming to do atleast three blog posts a week, and hopefully move up to five (!!) and then keep up with my regular two video uploads on YouTube every week.  So there will always be fresh content from me.

BLOG:  I’ve been going back and forth with this, trying to decide if I should keep my blog as strictly beauty or do something more well-rounded.   Including style, home decor, food and life content.  I’d like this blog to be a destination for positivity, beautiful things, empowering women and writing about things that I love.  Which means you’ll be seeing a variety of content on here – this both excites and terrifies me, but hey, lets give it a go.

If any of this made you happy or excited then make sure you subscribe to my newsletter(you’ll get emailed when I upload new posts), YouTube channel (You’ll get a notification when I upload new videos) and follow me on my social (I’m good on Instagram, but trying to be more active on Twitter so follow me there too) to keep up to date.

Here’s a little sneak peek at my office.

Hey Le’chelle,
I was wondering how much your wedding venue ended up costing you? It’s so hard to get an idea of what these things cost in SA 🙈
